About the event: Join us for the inaugural MY Tech Expo, bridging together STEAMM leaders, community builders, and up to 100 students from historically underrepresented backgrounds across the metro Atlanta region. This is an intimate half-day event where participants will problem-solve through interactive break-out sessions led by stem enthusiasts.

About JJSJF: The community-based foundation, located in Snellville GA, houses Gwinnett-NSBE JR the student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers.

The chapter, which serves STEM-focused middle and high school-age students in Gwinnett County and from across the Atlanta metropolitan area, is a reformation of a NSBE Jr. chapter formed in 2009.

The chapter mentors have successfully formed event partnerships with Microsoft, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Spelman College, Turner Broadcasting, Six Flags Corporation, Hi-Res Studios, and numerous other technology-based organizations, businesses and institutions since its inception. JJSJF’s sister summer program, MIT/NASA – curriculum-based, Zero Robotics – is the 2019 Regional Winner for their Zero Robotics Team in its category.

JJSJF student alumni include engineers, computer scientists, medicine and professionals working in other areas of STEM.
