The John & JeJuan Stewart Jr. Foundation recently held two Summer Leadership Class sessions, Activate Your Voice!, from June 24–29 and again from July 15–20. Designed for students in grades 5–12, the program focused on helping young people build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and grow as emerging leaders.

Both sessions followed the same format. The first part was held virtually, with middle school students meeting in the afternoons and high school students in the evenings. The final two days were conducted in person at the Centerville Community Center in Snellville, GA, giving students the chance to apply what they had learned in a supportive, interactive environment.

The sessions were conducted by Mrs. Stewart, speaking in her capacity as owner of EAGLE 7 Consulting and as a Leadership Coach and Mentor. Other highlighted speakers included Ondra Dismukes, Owner of O Writes, and Erica “Miss-Enformed” Baker, Owner & Founder of Black & Bilingual. They joined either virtually or in person, offering their experiences and guidance. Their insights encouraged students to think critically about leadership and the importance of using their voices effectively.

Though the sessions were small in size, the impact was significant. Students left more confident, better equipped to express themselves, and motivated to take on leadership roles in school and in their communities.
