On August 10, the John & JeJuan Stewart Jr. Foundation hosted a reception in Snellville, Georgia, to recognize the 2026 POSSE Scholarship nominees. The gathering brought together students, their families, and supporters for an afternoon focused on encouragement and community.
We are grateful to the parents and families who attended—their presence made the event truly meaningful and showed the strong support behind each nominee.
Special thanks go to Daniel Wayne, JJSJF Robotics Team Coach & Mentor, and Kevin Smith, JJSJF POSSE Alumni who joined us via Zoom. Their reflections on their own journeys and words of encouragement gave our nominees valuable perspective and inspiration.
We were also honored to welcome Ms. Morgan Collins, PCI Tech NSBE at Georgia Tech, who joined on short notice. Her remarks highlighted the importance of leadership and preparation as our nominees move forward in their academic and personal paths.
As an exciting update, we have already learned that four of our seven nominees have advanced to the second round of the POSSE interview process.
Congratulations to them on this achievement—we are proud of their progress and look forward to what comes next.
